About the Role
The Cigna Group is establishing a modern social media and influencer marketing capability to enhance trust, broaden reach, and foster authentic connections with patients, clients, and communities. This Principal role will define the strategy, operating model, governance, measurement, and partnership approach for a scalable influencer function within a regulated healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Set the enterprise vision, strategy, and roadmap for influencer marketing across The Cigna Group, Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth, and related brands.
- Build a scalable Center of Excellence with clear governance, standards, workflows, risk controls, and best practices.
- Develop a high-quality ecosystem of creators, advocates, ambassadors, thought leaders, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Translate business, brand, and reputation goals into authentic, platform-native creator programs with measurable impact.
- Partner across brand, communications, social, marketing, paid media, legal, compliance, privacy, and business teams to integrate influencer marketing best practices.
- Establish measurement, executive reporting, and performance standards connecting influencer activity to audience, reputation, and business outcomes.
- Guide agency, platform, vendor, budget, and investment decisions for scaling the capability.
- Serve as the enterprise expert on creator culture, influencer trends, emerging platforms, brand safety, disclosure, and reputation risk.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, and social media, with demonstrated success building or scaling programs for major brands or agencies.
- Deep understanding of creator ecosystems, social platforms, content strategy, partnership models, and paid amplification.
- Proven ability to develop strategy, governance, operating models, measurement frameworks, and executive-ready recommendations in complex organizations.
- Strong track record managing agencies, partners, platforms, budgets, performance expectations, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and storytelling skills, including experience advising senior leaders.
- Demonstrated people leadership, with a track record of building highly engaged, high-performing teams.
- Experience in regulated industries preferred.
- Ability to work from a Cigna Group office 3 days a week.
- Internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working from home.
