About the Role
As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the "face of the retail store" and the go-to person for customers entering our retail stores for all their automotive needs. This role is a great opportunity whether you are looking to spend your career with us as a Parts Specialist, want to work full/part-time, or want to get your foot in the door to explore other careers.
Responsibilities
- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone.
- Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions.
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions.
- Bring customer focus and high energy to fast-paced stores.
- Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
- Utilize technology, including computer systems, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalog systems.
Requirements
- Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with auto parts and service questions.
- Have parts experience from working in the automotive industry or from tinkering with/repairing cars and trucks.
- Willingness to learn all things automotive if lacking prior parts background.
- Desire to join a team for learning and career growth.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced retail environments.
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
- Entirely customer-centric (external/internal).
