About the Role
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, delivering excellent guest service, and anticipating guest needs to create a personalized and memorable experience. You will be a source of knowledge for guests regarding the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Deliver excellent guest service to elevate every aspect of their stay.
- Anticipate guest needs to create a personalized and memorable experience.
- Assist guests in discovering their "Wanderlust" experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest.
- Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
- Resolve problems and "WOW" guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right.
- Promote and sell special hotel programs.
- Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
- Maintain house bank.
- Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty.
- Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
- Assist other departments as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk, guest services or similar service role, preferably with a full-service hotel.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have open availability to work various shifts, AM or PM, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
- Outgoing and engaging personality with thorough understanding of customer service behaviors and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
- A strong desire to make an impact on other people.
- Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Ability to work multiple complex systems simultaneously.
- Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift.
- Positions self to raise, lower, and extend arms to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly.
