About the Role

As a Data Engineer on the RTM Growth team, you will own the pipelines, models, and datasets that power how Superhuman acquires and grows users across its multi-product, AI-native productivity platform. You will partner closely with Growth, Performance Marketing, and Data Science to transform raw acquisition, ad-platform, and product-usage signals into reliable, decision-grade data. This role is high-ownership and high-impact, operating at the intersection of data engineering, machine learning, and growth, with systems that directly shape growth investments and user acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own scalable data pipelines (Spark/Databricks) for ad bidding and paid acquisition optimization.
  • Build and maintain feature and training datasets for machine learning models used in bid optimization, budget allocation, and audience targeting.
  • Help productionize machine learning models in collaboration with Data Science.
  • Develop the measurement, attribution, and experimentation data layer for web and landing-page optimization.
  • Model growth and marketing data into clean, well-documented, reusable tables for self-service by analysts and data scientists.
  • Own data quality, freshness, and reliability for growth-critical datasets, implementing automated checks, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, Analytics Engineering, and Data Science to translate business questions into robust data models and trustworthy metrics.
  • Continuously improve the performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience of the growth data platform.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines and data platforms, ideally for growth, marketing, or experimentation use cases.
  • High proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Deep hands-on experience in Spark and a modern lakehouse or cloud data warehouse (Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Snowflake, or similar).
  • Experience supporting machine learning workflows end-to-end, including building feature pipelines, serving training and inference datasets, and partnering with data scientists to productionize models.
  • Strong data-modeling and warehouse-design skills.
  • Rigorous approach to data quality and observability.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration and CI/CD for data (e.g., Databricks Workflows or Airflow, with Git-based deployment).
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code or Codex) and validating their output.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills with partners across Growth, Marketing, and Data Science.
  • Focus on business impact and transforming ambiguous growth questions into reliable, scalable data products.
  • Self-starting problem-solver who thinks from first principles, manages priorities across multiple projects, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
