About the Role
RS&H is seeking an experienced electrical designer to join our esteemed aviation electrical engineering team. In this position, you will collaborate with engineers to design primarily airfield electrical and lighting systems, navigational aid systems, and apron lighting in support of our nation-wide aviation airport clients, as well as other lighting and power systems in support of our nationwide infrastructure and transportation projects.
Responsibilities
- Design primarily airfield electrical and lighting systems, navigational aid systems, and apron lighting.
- Design lighting and power systems for infrastructure and transportation projects.
- Perform circuit design, lighting layout, equipment selection, and quantity take-offs.
- Manage detail libraries and drafting standards.
- Coordinate with electrical team members and multi-discipline project team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program and seven years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 7 years of experience with AutoCAD in electrical design and drafting.
- Experience designing and drafting power distribution and lighting systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Experience assembling and drafting high-quality construction drawings in a team environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive in investigating and developing solutions and spreading knowledge with the team.
