About the Role

Responsible for tracking product information to keep businesses and supply chains on schedule for production lines. Ensures proper scheduling and record keeping for materials moved within operations. Participates in work related to receiving, issuing, and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies. Works independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities by communicating shift priorities, addressing production and customer service issues, and ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance, identify bottlenecks, downtime, quality concerns, and material shortages, and coordinate with Purchasing, Maintenance, and Test Support teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by participating in process development, cost reduction efforts, and operational efficiency projects.
  • Support workforce planning by coordinating staffing needs, tracking NPI/pre-production/rework activities, and helping manage departmental budgets and expenses.
  • Champion quality and operational excellence by monitoring key performance indicators, responding to scrap events, updating communication boards, and taking immediate action when performance falls below established targets.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, vocational/technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to serve as a subject matter expert for team members.
  • Proven ability to analyze operational data, interpret technical instructions, identify root causes, and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide coaching, performance feedback, and guidance to employees.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, data interpretation, reporting, and manufacturing metrics.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in day-to-day operations.
