About the Role
Flex is seeking an EH&S Manager to support SpinCo, a new independent company focused on digital infrastructure for AI data centers. This role will ensure the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs, meeting company and government standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
- Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training and awareness programs.
- Provide direction to employees and act as an advisor to meet schedules or resolve problems.
- Establish and recommend changes to policies.
- Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group managers.
- Conduct presentations of technical information.
- Manage budget and schedule for EH&S activities.
- Train staff on policy and procedure changes.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site EHS programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain required documentation, permits, and records.
- Develop and deliver EHS training.
- Facilitate EHS Committee meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Track and analyze EHS metrics.
- Manage Workers' Compensation cases.
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Partner with operations to integrate safety into equipment design, process changes, and new projects.
- Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and chemical storage.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
- +7 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.
- Experience with OSHA compliance, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Contractor safety.
- Experience with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, state AED requirements, etc.).
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation cases.
- Experience with environmental programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and chemical storage.
- Experience with ISO 14001/ISO 45001 systems.
