About the Role

Flex is seeking an EH&S Manager to support SpinCo, a new independent company focused on digital infrastructure for AI data centers. This role will ensure the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs, meeting company and government standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
  • Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training and awareness programs.
  • Provide direction to employees and act as an advisor to meet schedules or resolve problems.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies.
  • Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and functional peer group managers.
  • Conduct presentations of technical information.
  • Manage budget and schedule for EH&S activities.
  • Train staff on policy and procedure changes.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site EHS programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain required documentation, permits, and records.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training.
  • Facilitate EHS Committee meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Track and analyze EHS metrics.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with operations to integrate safety into equipment design, process changes, and new projects.
  • Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and chemical storage.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environment or Health Sciences or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
  • +7 years of related experience in EH&S or related position.
  • Experience with OSHA compliance, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Hazard Communication, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and Contractor safety.
  • Experience with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, state AED requirements, etc.).
  • Experience managing Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Experience with environmental programs, including waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and chemical storage.
  • Experience with ISO 14001/ISO 45001 systems.
