About the Role
The Senior Associate, Integrated Media Planning leads the planning, implementation, and tracking of media plans, activations, and presentations. This role requires a strong understanding of traditional and digital media, with an emphasis on audio, and available media research. The Senior Associate will develop deep client business knowledge and ensure timely and accurate execution of media requirements. This position offers an opportunity to develop people management skills by leading and evaluating an associate planner.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and tracking of media plans, activations, and presentations.
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of assigned clients' businesses.
- Ensure all client media requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop people management skills by evaluating performance and managing the growth of an associate planner.
- Approach situations with energy and interest, displaying passion for pop culture, trends, and consumer behavior.
- Support management in navigating challenges and seeking help when needed.
- Continuously seek to understand how data is leveraged for reporting, strategy definition, and uncovering new opportunities.
- Begin developing delegation skills as a manager of associate-level staff.
- Practice building personal and understanding relationships internally and with clients, aiming for the best outcomes for the team and client.
Requirements
- Graduate of a four-year college or university.
- 1-2 years of media planning experience.
- Experience successfully managing individual deliverables.
- Previous involvement in developing and managing media programs.
- Experience responding to the flow of client media-related needs.
- Sufficient communication skills for internal teams and client-facing contacts.
- Comfort planning across channels and platforms.
- Readiness to learn the client service aspect of media planning.
- Command of media fundamentals and ability to educate an Assistant.
- Ready to take on management responsibilities.
- Understanding of key research sources.
- Some knowledge of current trends and innovations in media.
- Comfort with trafficking, data, analytics, and measurement.
