About the Role
The Clinical Social Worker I is a licensed, experienced professional who serves as the clinical expert in assessing and treating patients, families, and providing social work consultation to interdisciplinary teams in various inpatient and ambulatory settings within the Yale New Haven Health System. The role involves diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, crisis intervention, mental health consultation, teaching/mentoring, and project participation.
Responsibilities
- Perform licensed social work clinical practice.
- Interact professionally with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge base and skill set through educational opportunities.
- Meet expectations set forth by State licensure, Hospital and departmental standards.
Requirements
- For Connecticut, consistent with LCSW licensure requirements, 3,000 hours of post-masters social work experience and 100 hours of post-masters clinical supervision.
- For Rhode Island, consistent with LICSW licensure requirements, 24 months of experience licensed as a licensed clinical social worker under appropriate supervision.
