About the Role

We are seeking a Senior React Engineer to design and build pages for our Online Banking application. This role requires providing technical guidance, estimating efforts, and selecting optimal technology solutions. The ideal candidate will navigate unknowns, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and provide day-to-day application support. You will execute rapidly, consider both short-term and long-term strategic views, develop code, and oversee distributed development teams.

Responsibilities

Join a pod of developers and automation engineers, collaborating with other Online Banking pods.
Collaborate with Product and business owners to understand the business domain and suggest optimal designs.
Spend most of your time on system design, with a substantial portion dedicated to hands-on implementation.
Gain hands-on knowledge of client-facing web applications, microservices, data architecture, databases, and internal systems.
Become a subject matter expert in technical environments and deliver frameworks/standards.
Estimate large features and releases.
Break down large feature sets for team understanding and successful implementation.
Drive technical designs to consensus and approval by the Architecture Review Team.
Design and develop enterprise solutions that provide reusable frameworks, interfaces, and services.
Perform impact analysis of proposed changes on existing architecture and solutions.
Identify cost/benefit implications of proposed solutions.
Conduct group training sessions or lunch and learns.
Propose ideas for refreshing old processes and document updates.
Identify opportunities for refactoring and tech debt remediation.
Guard code quality and mentor junior engineers.
Assist in architecture and design discussions for other engineers.
Mentor other team members in large-scale feature planning.
Express knowledge confidently during code reviews.
Drive to learn new things and go above and beyond.
Improve yourself and constructively support the team.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
