About the Role
As an NFIB Membership Sales Representative, you will be the human connection that invites small business owners into a national movement advocating on their behalf. Every conversation helps give small businesses a stronger voice at the state and federal level. This is face-to-face, community-based work where you will meet owners, share NFIB’s impact, and invite them to become part of something that protects their livelihood.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with small business owners through in-person prospecting
- Deliver NFIB’s proven, 5-minute sales presentation with confidence, authenticity, and urgency
- Build fast rapport and communicate NFIB’s mission clearly and compellingly
- Address objections and close membership enrollments in one visit
- Process membership payments on the spot
Requirements
- Mission-driven and passionate about small business success
- Self-starters with grit, resilience, and a strong work ethic
- Coachable and willing to follow a proven sales process
- Quick thinkers who adapt well in live conversations
- Motivated by growth, learning, and performance-based rewards
- Sales experience is helpful but not required

- Average annual compensation: $80,000–$200,000
- 40% of the sales force earns six figures
- Top 10% exceed 200K

- Up to 13 weeks of performance-based training pay ($1,000/week or commission, whichever is greater)
