About the Role

The Nurse Resident protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in patient care. Responsibilities

  • Protect, promote, and optimize health and abilities.
  • Prevent illness and injury.
  • Alleviate suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human response.
  • Advocate in the care of individuals and families.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of practice and professional development.
  • Adhere to New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights.
  • Promote a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse License or Limited Permit.
  • CPR within 3 months of hire.

Skills

  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
  • Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, Basic Coronary).

Salary/Compensations

  • $37.00 - $55.50 per hour
