About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment processes across our enterprise technology ecosystem. This role will be responsible for driving automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), cloud operations, CI/CD pipeline management, security integration, monitoring, and performance optimization within a Microsoft Azure environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources, networking, storage, identity, and compute services.
- Support enterprise cloud architecture initiatives and infrastructure modernization efforts.
- Implement highly available and resilient cloud solutions that align with organizational standards.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Implement repeatable and scalable deployment patterns across environments.
- Drive infrastructure standardization and process automation initiatives.
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application build, testing, security validation, and deployment workflows.
- Improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and release velocity.
- Partner with development teams to implement DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions across cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify issues.
- Utilize centralized logging platforms to analyze system activity and troubleshoot incidents.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and deployment pipelines.
- Manage identity and access controls using RBAC and least-privilege principles.
- Embed security controls within DevOps workflows through Security as Code practices.
- Automate security scanning and compliance validation throughout the CI/CD lifecycle.
- Implement security controls to protect sensitive enterprise data.
- Ensure appropriate encryption and key management practices are enforced.
- Support data privacy, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Manage encryption for data both at rest and in transit using cloud-native technologies.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and spending.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
- Design solutions supporting scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Analyze cloud consumption and implement FinOps best practices.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with developers, architects, security teams, and operations personnel.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Drive adoption of DevOps best practices throughout the organization.
- Document infrastructure architectures, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering best practices across the organization.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within technical teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related technology discipline
- Hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise cloud environments
- Proven experience supporting production environments and mission-critical applications
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and cross-functional technology teams
- 7+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering experience
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and architecture
- Expert-level Terraform experience
- Strong experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and governance
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments
- Knowledge of serverless computing and cloud-native application architectures
- Experience supporting Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory environments
- Experience implementing FinOps strategies and cloud cost optimization initiatives
- Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
