About the Role

The Doorperson facilitates guest entry by verifying reservations and allowing access. This position acts as a liaison between promotions, VIP services, and guests, while also assessing crowd control, preventing theft, and discouraging altercations in a high-volume nightclub. The role requires efficient, professional, and positive guest service, staying informed of venue and service changes. This is a non-tip receiving position.

  • Communicate professionally with all management from Restaurant/Lounge
  • Assist all Guests with entry to the venue
  • Maintain professionalism at the workplace and with co-workers and patrons
  • Be attentive to all company related events and upcoming venues and changes
  • Maintain a proper and professional appearance and attitude
  • Maintain and promote a friendly atmosphere for customers and co-workers
  • Provide customers with information and directions
  • Inform management of any complaints, comments, or incidents
  • Perform all prior arrangements to be ready to start at scheduled in time and complete all necessary duties by end of shift
  • Accurately assess group sizes at the doors, collect ID’s and form of payment, and hand out tickets accordingly
  • Constantly pay attention to surroundings and to customers
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Tao Group Hospitality in-venue doorperson training
  • Min 1-year previous doorperson experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience required
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge required
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
