About the Role

The Project Manager I is responsible for the success of assigned projects from initiation to close, ensuring efficient and satisfactory completion. This role evaluates customer requests, aligns them with strategic goals, and manages project schedules, budgets, risks, communication, and reporting. The Project Manager I leads a team to meet client expectations and ensures project scope and metrics are achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Manages project assignments and ensures delivery within budget, schedule, and project scope.
  • Develops documentation to define and support a project’s business needs, including business cases, requirements, scope, budgets, resources, timelines, and operational transitional plans.
  • Analyzes complex problems by evaluating data factors to develop effective solutions.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and leads meetings with customers and technical teams to define business needs and resolve blockers.
  • Obtains and evaluates Statements of Work (SOW) and implementation plans from external vendors and business units.
  • Develops and presents project business cases or charters to stakeholders for approval.
  • Monitors formal solicitations, contracting, and legal contract processes until completion.
  • Develops and manages detailed project plans, including schedule, activities, assignments, resources, and milestones.
  • Creates and manages the project schedule and coordinates resource scheduling for all project tasks.
  • Develops, tracks, and reports on project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinates and manages project kickoffs, ensuring appropriate resources are involved and understand roles and responsibilities.
  • Identifies resource needs and maintains a resource plan.
  • Manages relationships with project stakeholders, sponsors, and leadership, ensuring ongoing communication of progress.
  • Analyzes lessons learned and shares with PMO team members, managers, technical teams, and customers.
  • Acts as the point of contact for all internal and external project communication and documentation.
  • Identifies, oversees, and prepares budget estimations, including equipment, human, and time resource costs.
  • Manages all resource/expenditures based on project budget throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicates updates and/or issues impacting profitability.
  • Manages and facilitates the testing and training of new applications, assets, integrations, systems, and/or infrastructure.
  • Manages changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using change management processes.
  • Develops and manages the transitions to operations plan to operational and support teams, ensuring successful hand-off.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience working with customer and stakeholders to develop project documentation and managing project delivery within budget, on schedule and within project scope.

  • Bachelor's degree
