About the Role
Midstate Spring, a precision spring manufacturer since 1939, seeks a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to support accounting and administrative operations in their climate-controlled Syracuse facility.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Prepare financial reports and maintain organized records.
- Ensure adherence to SOX regulations and internal controls.
- Manage correspondence, filing systems, and business records.
- Coordinate office supply procurement and vendor relationships.
- Schedule meetings and assist with office logistics.
- Provide administrative support to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Knowledge of A/P, A/R, and general ledger functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Manufacturing office experience is a plus.
- Lifting: 25 lbs.
- Carrying: 25 lbs.
- Pushing: 25 lbs.
- Pulling: 25 lbs.
- Standing 10%, Walking 10%, Sitting 70%
