About the Role
The Quality Manager I is responsible for implementing, improving, and executing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and project-specific quality program requirements, ensuring design and construction align with company policies and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a quality champion for projects, overseeing quality management duties including material management, documentation, and close-out for efficient project execution.
- Coach, mentor, and train project staff and Quality staff on quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
- Lead quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing, and follow-up inspections.
- Establish, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Incident Reports (QIRs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Routinely audit project quality programs using Project QC Evaluation and other tools, providing feedback on QIRs, team relationships, client perceptions, and recurring non-conformances.
- Direct inspection, testing, and documentation of works, coordinating schedules with operations, consultants, material laboratories, and clients.
- Create and implement project-specific inspection and test plans, quality control plans, and support material specification reviews.
- Manage risk strategies to improve project profitability by reducing risk and enhancing efficiency through process management and mitigation.
- Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, design partners, and stakeholders to support project partnering and issue resolution.
- Support Site Safety to ensure projects comply with established safety procedures and goals.
- Monitor project quality costs and resources, working to optimize as-bid budgets, billing returns, risk reporting, and testing accuracy.
- Monitor and report rework costs via the QIR system.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of AEC experience, with 3 years preferred in a Quality role.
- Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time.
- Knowledge of relevant standards, specifications, and publications.
- Limited travel for projects as necessary.

Salary/Compensations
- $125,000 - $160,000/Yr.
