About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our London Market Real Estate team as a Real Estate Underwriter. Lead complex deals, strengthen broker partnerships, and make a visible impact in a role central to our commercial success. Participate in the Allianz Global P&C Academy to enhance skills in underwriting, risk engineering, pricing, and claims management, while exchanging best practices across the Allianz Group. Allianz Insurance supports professional qualifications, such as IFoA and CII.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of major deals, using expertise to win and retain strategic accounts that drive growth.
Develop trusted partnerships with brokers, leveraging collaboration to unlock new opportunities and strengthen market presence.
Represent the business confidently through face-to-face engagement, networking, and active participation in industry events.
Support team development by guiding peers, reviewing referrals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service.
Work closely with internal departments to streamline processes and deliver seamless, client-focused solutions.
Act as a reliable point of contact for priority clients, anticipating needs and delivering tailored, responsive support.

Requirements

Proven expertise in commercial underwriting/assessing complex risks (Real Estate experience is not essential).
Strong commercial underwriting or broking experience is welcomed.
A track record of dealing with large and/or complex risks and cases.
Proven ability to manage broker relationships that fuel growth and long-term retention.
The ability to adapt and react with a commercial mind to short notice change.
