About the Role

This role is responsible for leading growth initiatives for LFL Group's Financial Services divisions, specializing in Insurance and Extended Warranty. The goal is to build long-term, sustainable partnerships for the distribution of protection products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full business development lifecycle, including market research, prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for insurance and warranty solutions, including cross-sell and bundled-program possibilities.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with clear forecasting and reporting.
  • Develop new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships across retail, finance, automotive, fintech, and other strategic sectors.
  • Understand client needs and challenges, translating them into effective insurance and warranty program solutions.
  • Act as a consultative partner, demonstrating how protection products deliver measurable value.
  • Recommend product design, pricing strategies, risk mitigation approaches, and contractual considerations using sound business judgment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet client requirements and align with our value propositions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling client presentations and product education sessions.
  • Enhance sales and presentation materials in collaboration with the management team.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic business development plan.
  • Stay current on trends in insurance, warranty, and financial services, sharing insights with leadership.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that enhance the client experience and expand market presence.
  • Achieve revenue and growth targets outlined in the strategic plan.
  • Travel 20–30% as required to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of successful experience in business development, account management, or B2B sales.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, progress opportunities through the sales cycle, and close new business.
  • Experience in insurance or extended warranty is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in creditor insurance, service plans, subscription plans, or group insurance is an asset.
  • Background in financial services (automotive, mortgage, or consumer finance) is an advantage.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to assess client needs and articulate tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment and embrace new challenges.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
