About the Role
This role involves creating and maintaining analytical tools using Microsoft Excel and AI to support the operational team within a leading Canadian hospitality company. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, resourceful, and results-driven team player.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Spreadsheets - Actual vs. Budget/Forecast/Prior Year Revenue, comparing weekly.
- Update actuals in the forecast file monthly after month-end close.
- Update the Consolidated forecast file monthly by the 25th.
- Maintain the Segmentation Analysis file twice monthly.
- Maintain an updated Human Resources P&L by the 15th of each month.
- Update manual P&Ls for Westin and Holiday Inn Toronto Airport after month-end close.
- Update the forecast accuracy spreadsheet monthly.
- Assist with the set-up of Budget Files annually.
- Create Ad-Hoc reports as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Possess or working towards an accounting designation.
- Working knowledge of the hospitality industry – 1-2 years.
- Intermediate Excel skills including Hookup, V lookup, Pivot Tables, Graphs, slicers.
- Experience with Copilot and AI.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion are required.
- May be required to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Will be required to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Actively listen and ask questions.
- Always look for process improvement.
