About the Role

New Relic is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Financial Systems Engineering, Finance and Accounting Fundamentals, SaaS software, and systems development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical projects from ideation to delivery, including managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes running smoothly.
  • Identify and operationalize metrics and key performance indicators to track progress and drive issue resolution and mitigation.
  • Create and operationalize processes to enhance organizational effectiveness in meeting business goals.
  • Drive effective communication, collaboration, and commitment across disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Work with teams to identify and handle top risks and drive decisions to align leadership on project risk levels.
  • Facilitate productive meetings ranging from small (3-5 people) to large (100+ people).

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience leading and delivering complex initiatives in product organizations within cross-functional work environments.
  • 8+ years delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility, and often ambiguous environment.
  • Proven experience in a hands-on role leading large-scale software development projects, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience with agile teams and practitioners, with the ability to adapt process and style as needed.
  • Proficient in program management fundamentals including team building, role/responsibility definition, DACI & RACI frameworks, risk management, work breakdown structures, project tracking, and resource management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to use data to educate, initiate action, and drive accountability.
