About the Role

NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician - Ambulatory Care to join the Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY). This role involves providing comprehensive medical evaluations, treatment plans, and patient counseling within a redesigned healthcare campus featuring a new hospital and Health & Wellness Institute. The position supports the mission of providing high-quality healthcare to all New Yorkers with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations of patients, including history, physical examination, diagnostic testing, treatment planning, counseling, and referrals.
  • Provide effective longitudinal, continuous, and episodic care based on standards of care and evidence-based medicine.
  • Complete, reflective, and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Review and sign off on laboratory/study results, prescription refills, and all other InBasket messages with timely follow-up.
  • Perform other administrative, professional, and consultative duties as needed by the Chief of Ambulatory Care.
  • May include training and supervision of Internal Medicine trainees, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in adult ambulatory services.

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Active New York State license.

Salary/Compensations

  • $236,000.00 - $241,000.00 Salary
  • Annual Base Salary: $236,000* (board eligible); $241,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $355,120** (board eligible) and $360,620** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
