About the Role
As a Game Mathematician, you will play a key role in shaping the player experience by designing and analyzing the mathematical models behind our games. You will contribute across the full game development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Implements mathematical logic for prize determination to match specifications of math design.
- Participates in developing mathematical and statistical models.
- Evaluates math models for functionality and specification adherence.
- Assists in writing and evaluating production code.
- Assists in providing theoretical par sheets demonstrating probabilities and mathematical payout via excel calculation and/or simulation.
- Utilizes proprietary tools to generate slot, bingo, and lottery math files.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure math is correctly implemented and addresses questions.
- Evaluates products in development and provides feedback.
- Responsible for deliverables of one or more projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Organizes and creates math documentation and project deliverables with accuracy and thoroughness.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics required.
- Coding experience is required, with C# strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of probability mathematics.
- 0-2 years' experience in a math role; gaming or slot experience.
