About the Role
Medical Assistants perform clinical and clerical functions to assist practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Prep and assist in the exam room
- Triage Patients
- Collects urine, stool and draw blood samples
- Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients
Requirements
- A minimum of one-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice
- Must be flexible with varied work schedule hours
- May be required to cover for other practice locations within Queens
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses

- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT
Salary/Compensations
- $32.55-$39.06/Hourly
