About the Role

This role will grow two of Toronto's professional football properties, Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts, by integrating strategy, brand, business, and fan experience. You will collaborate across multiple departments to translate business priorities into integrated marketing strategies and campaigns, making every season and matchday matter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated commercial marketing programs.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies supporting Toronto FC and Toronto Argonauts business priorities across the season.
  • Translate ticketing, retail, partnership and broader commercial priorities into compelling fan-facing marketing programs that build the brands while driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Support annual brand and commercial planning, identifying key audiences, moments, campaigns and opportunities for growth.
  • Drive ticketing and revenue initiatives by developing campaigns and programs that support single-ticket sales, memberships, group sales and other revenue priorities.
  • Build unforgettable matchdays by developing theme nights, promotions, giveaways, activations and fan experiences.
  • Grow audiences by developing strategies that deepen engagement while reaching new audiences.
  • Bring partnerships to life by integrating partners into team initiatives while protecting and strengthening the brands.
  • Establish and implement program plans, developing clear briefs, timelines, deliverables and cross-functional workback plans.
  • Use data to optimize program performance and continuously improve marketing investment and execution.
  • Act as a connector, bringing together teams across MLSE to ensure alignment on objectives, audiences, strategies, and roles.

Requirements

  • Possess a commercial mindset, understanding how marketing contributes to business growth and balancing brand building with revenue priorities.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, developing clear marketing strategies that connect insight to execution.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively and building relationships across departments.
  • Possess strong storytelling and communication abilities, presenting compelling recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Show creativity with an eye for big ideas focused on results and translating concepts into actionable plans.
  • Be a self-starter with a drive for ownership and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
  • Have strong organizational skills, managing multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and timelines with attention to detail.
  • Approximately five to seven years of experience in integrated marketing, commercial marketing, brand strategy, consumer marketing, sports, entertainment, agency, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated campaigns.
  • Passion for fandom and understanding the role of sport in culture and community.
