About the Role

The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will work on Roc Nation, a segment of Live Nation. This role is integral to the finance and accounting function, partnering with leaders to drive financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end close process, including variance analysis and monthly reporting.
  • Act as a key contributor/creator of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Manage spend tracking, reporting, and analytics, including contract monitoring, category-level spend, and margin summaries.
  • Support recurring operational reporting across pacing, cost tracking, royalty reconciliation, and event-level analytics.
  • Identify reliable indicators of future performance and enhance accuracy.
  • Partner with the business to align departmental priorities with budgets and forecasts.
  • Understand and incorporate risks & opportunities into sensitivity analysis.
  • Present forecasts and results to senior finance and business leaders.
  • Develop and track KPIs to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Identify ways to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities for efficiency.
  • Provide financial and operational support for Roc Nation and subsidiaries’ teams.
  • Handle special projects and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 5+ years related work experience with proven success in FP&A.
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills with attention to detail.
  • Natural financial literacy with the ability to distill complicated concepts into actionable plans.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proficient PowerPoint user.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., OneStream, Oracle Fusion, and SAP BPC).
  • Comfort with fast-paced, deadline-driven close cycles.
  • Flexible communication skills to explain complex financial data and partner across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A strategic mindset, bias towards action, skepticism of the status quo, and can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all disciplines, levels, and cultures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with little supervision.
