About the Role

The Requisition Engineer will provide technical project management for Generator CMU (conversions, modifications, and upgrades) projects, ensuring they meet GE Vernova's design standards and enhance reliability and customer service. This role involves delivering technical documentation and coordinating engineering functions from order receipt to remittance, requiring active collaboration with various internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for successful execution of engineering and related downstream activities for CM&U orders/projects, including Stator Rewinds, Replacement Fields, Field Rewinds, Exchange Rotors, and full Generator Replacements.
  • Utilize standardized tools and processes to set up project structures within GE Vernova systems.
  • Create and coordinate engineering and drafting deliverable schedules using Enovia PLM software.
  • Manage project changes throughout the lifecycle to ensure timely delivery for parts, outage activities, or other downstream work.
  • Ensure timely demand placement of parts designed and defined by engineering teams.
  • Provide solutions to technical issues arising during generator CM&U projects.
  • Write Field Service Instructions (FSI) or Field Modification Instruction (FMI) documentation.
  • Integrate with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sourcing, Vendors, Service Shops, and other teams for successful project execution.
  • Monitor overall project schedule and budgeted hours, addressing deviations.
  • Support domestic and global team members.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries using technical files, personal experience, and expert information.
  • Complete project closeout activities, including gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead process improvement projects when assigned.
  • Engage in continuing education and training.
  • Support customer meetings, State of the Art Conferences, GE Vernova, and Industry conferences when requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an engineering discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in engineering or 3 years of experience with a master's degree in engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy-duty gas turbine/steam turbine generator technology or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Knowledge of GE Vernova installed base generator technology.

Experience Level

  • 5 years experience in engineering or 3 years experience with a masters degree in engineering
  • At least 2 years experience in either heavy duty gas turbine/steam turbine generator technology or equivalent

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an engineering discipline

Salary/Compensations

  • $98,400 - $164,000
  • 110%, 120% or 130% of salary geographic differential in certain areas
