About the Role

As a Production Associate at PPG, you will support manufacturing operations by safely processing, inspecting, handling, and preparing products. You will operate production equipment, load and unload parts, perform quality inspections, and ensure finished products meet PPG's quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload racks of parts throughout the production process.
  • Mask and unmask parts according to production specifications and customer requirements.
  • Inspect parts and products as they move through production lines to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify, document, and process rejected or non-conforming materials.
  • Perform touch-up and rework activities on products.
  • Move, pack, sort, and organize raw materials and finished goods.
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues and escalate concerns.
  • Monitor product quality and identify defective materials or finished products.
  • Support production processes including machining, assembly, processing, packaging, and material handling activities.
  • Operate hoists and other material-handling equipment where required.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all safety procedures, operational standards, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and tools.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary/Compensations

  • $23.60/hour
