About the Role
Manager of a team of analysts responsible for transforming data, reconciling variances and testing implementation of new technology platforms based on transformed data elements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Private Equity Fund Accounting data to accurately assess transformation effort
- Oversee and train conversion analysts to increase their understanding of private equity fund accounting
- Analyze business and technology requirements and guide analysts in efficient approach to conversion projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT and Client Service to gather data conversion requirements and address any challenges or questions.
- Document conversion processes, mapping tables, and user guides to continue increasing efficiency and scale of project
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or other related field.
- 5+ years of relevant Private Equity Fund/Investment Company Accounting & Reporting experience.
- Ability and desire to manage and train junior staff to build a functional and efficient team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of accounting best practices within complex private equity fund structures.
- Hands on experience accounting/audit of private equity funds.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage timelines and prioritize tasks within a team environment and escalate for assistance when timelines are in jeopardy.
- Extensive Microsoft Excel skills – Pivots, formulas, macros (VBA) a plus.
