About the Role
The Coordinator will support the development and implementation of strategies to engage alumnae/i and friends, contributing to the University's fundraising and strategic goals through event planning, communication, volunteer cultivation, and data management.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of integrated annual fund participation strategies and goals.
- Set and manage a communication plan for annual giving initiatives.
- Draft and develop annual giving appeals and written materials.
- Maintain appeal, gift, campaign, and donor information in Raisers’ Edge database.
- Prepare reports tracking giving, progress towards goals, and pledge information.
- Maintain the schedule of annual giving reports.
- Implement, promote, and support alumnae/i events and programs.
- Serve as lead at various alumnae/i events.
- Assist in the scheduling, planning, and execution of a multi-year regional travel and event schedule.
- Coordinate University Athletic fundraising initiatives in collaboration with the Department of Athletics.
- Support the engagement of the President’s Associates Council.
- Oversee the student employment program, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating student employees.
- Plan training sessions for student ambassadors and phone team members.
- Identify, recruit, train, and steward alumnae/i class ambassadors and volunteers.
- Serve as back-up gift processor in the Office of Advancement.
- Support the work of the Alumnae/i Association, its executive board, and committees.
- Participate in University-wide and Advancement events.

- Demonstrated experience in developing engaging programming.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting communications and appeals.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising student workers.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting and motivating volunteers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Candidates should be creative, exercise discretion and good judgement.
- Motivated to remain abreast of best practices in annual giving and current fundraising, direct marketing and volunteer management programs and practices.
- Interest in a working environment which demands flexibility, encourages creativity and collegiality while emphasizing accountability for meeting goals.
- Driver’s license required.
