About the Role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Management Consultant to oversee and manage various Commercial Real Estate projects for clients in the greater New York City area. The role is part of the Project Management function, responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multiple commercial, high-end renovation projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Demonstrate capability to read, understand, and apply standard to sophisticated documents affecting real estate projects, including agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings.
  • Interface and be in direct contact with clients to define project requirements.
  • Prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conduct standard request for proposals; complete bid analysis; recommend resources to clients.
  • Lead project delivery resources/team providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed.
  • Facilitate project meetings.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and Client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated.
  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines.
  • Report status and variances.
  • Craft action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
  • Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.
  • Assess change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (larger economic implications, business risk, etc.).
  • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work from the client's Midtown Manhattan office on a FT basis is required.
  • On site requirements might change based on client needs.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Office, MS Project and other MS software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills
