About the Role
The Class A CDL Truck Driver will deliver products to customers and store locations accurately, efficiently, and safely. Drivers are compensated per route.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery.
- Collect empty containers, rejected, or unsold merchandise for return.
- Verify shipment accuracy and assure product saleable condition.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Learn and adhere to safety and security policies and procedures.
- Follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures and report any deficiencies.
- Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on truck to conform to DOT regulations and company policy, including Pre- and Post-Trip inspections.
- Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-year experience with a CDL A license.
- Experienced and comfortable driving in an urban setting.
- Available for early AM start times.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
Skills
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles endorsement
- Experience within food and beverage handling preferred.
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to drive, sit, operate/inspect vehicle, stand, walk, kneel, lift and bend required for the entire shift.
- Able to balance and pull product, climb in and out of truck
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds above six feet, pull/push 300 pounds with hand-held hook.
- Must be able to take hand truckloads of 300 pounds of milk product up and down customer steps when required.
- Position requires frequent lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, fine hand manipulation and kneeling.
- Must operate hand-held and truck-mounted computer and refrigeration equipment.
- Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with moderate noise, sometimes slippery floors.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Exposure to nut allergens.
- Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings.

Salary/Compensations
- $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for New Hire, full-time drivers.
- $8'000 Sign-on Bonus for Qualified Doubles Drivers.
