About the Role
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, assists in providing nursing services to residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing services to residents.
- Monitor facility to ascertain residents’ activities and general status.
- Take appropriate action to ensure safety and wellbeing of residents and facility.
- Document significant activity in the clinical log.
- Assess and monitor residents experiencing signs and symptoms of withdrawal using appropriate withdrawal scales.
- Provide crisis intervention counseling to residents as needed.
- Complete resident incident/accident or medical emergency forms.
- Answer phones and provide assistance.
- Meet regularly with RN/Health Coordinator for supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- NYS Licensed Professional Nurse.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of population.
- CPR Certification.
