About the Role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and assisting with security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter unauthorized access. Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and maintaining required entry and exit records.
Respond to access-control issues, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Help to deter unauthorized access and report suspicious activity, damaged access-control equipment, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
