About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Part Time Enhanced position in Freeport, NY. This role offers flexible, dependable hours at an assigned site, with the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observed conditions, policy concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and appropriate emergency responders.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
