About the Role
The Corporate Communications team leads Intact Financial Corporation’s internal and external communications to support business objectives and strategic roadmap. The Executive Communications team creates and delivers communication to raise the profile of Intact’s global and Canadian CEOs and senior executives, while sharing key aspects of Intact’s strategy. As a Communications Advisor I, you will work in close collaboration with the Executive Communications team on a wide range of communications programs and initiatives to support Intact’s Canadian and global CEOs. This is an operational role where organization is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Events Specialist to execute quarterly Manager and employee webcasts, including sending invitations, supporting logistics, and coordinating with the IT team.
- Support other internal and external events by managing IT logistics and sending invitations.
- Track and report monthly metrics for executive communications across various channels (email, intranet, video, LinkedIn).
- Collect and present monthly global content metrics from partners in the US, UK, and Europe.
- Produce quarterly reports on global metrics for the Corporate Communications team.
- Distribute executive communication to employees in Canada and coordinate distribution with international partners.
- Manage and update the global senior executive email distribution list.
- Monitor the Corporate Communications mailbox for employee feedback and address questions.
- Post from CEOs’ LinkedIn accounts, monitor for engagement, and coordinate with relevant teams for responses.
- Review, update, and maintain the Executive Communications content calendar.
- Attend weekly editorial calendar meetings and provide updates.
Requirements
- Degree in communication, marketing, journalism, or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in communications, operations, or administration within a corporate or comparable environment.
- Highly organized and process-oriented.
- Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Takes initiative, is flexible, and adapts easily to change.
- Committed to delivering high standards.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
Skills
- Highly computer literate with strong command of Zoom, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
- Experience or interest in design is an asset.
- Experience providing back-end support to IT platforms and/or basic multimedia production is an asset, with a desire to expand skills.
- French is a strong asset.
