About the Role
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for commercial building lobby patrol in New York, NY. This role involves safeguarding clients, monitoring assigned areas, and responding to security concerns in a dynamic and collaborative workplace.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, retailers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of retail operations to support an orderly environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
