About the Role
To provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children's growth, adhering to the program's educational philosophies and goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Annual Review logs for timely implementation.
- Evaluate children for initial evaluation as per CPSE.
- Complete and distribute updated IEPs.
- Participate in team case conference meetings to review and update student intervention strategies.
- Establish and maintain professional communication with parents regarding child's progress, activities, and needs.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences to review IEP goals/objectives and school performance.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health, Bureau of Day Care regulations.
- Assist in planning school-wide events.
- Maintain confidentiality of child, parent, staff, and center information.
Requirements
- New York State Education Department certification in Special Education (Birth -2)
- Social Worker (MSW or LCSW)
- School Psychologist/Licensed Psychologist
- Fingerprint Clearance (Department of Investigation and Department of Education)
- New York State Central Registry Clearance
- Annual Medical Clearance
