About the Role
The Branch Manager will lead a high-performing team to deliver financial products and solutions that improve client financial well-being, deepen client relationships, and help clients achieve their financial goals. This role involves setting performance expectations, coaching, and motivating the team to provide an outstanding client experience and achieve sales and service goals. The Branch Manager will leverage technological tools, develop business relationships, and ensure compliance with operational and regulatory procedures, acting as a key leader representing the Bank's values.
Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and develop assigned team members through structured coaching models, observational sessions, joint sales calls, and professional development plans.
- Provide training opportunities to ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources for success.
- Ensure the team understands their role in delivering the Five Star Bank experience and supports changes in the work environment.
- Work with HR to attract, retain, and develop high-caliber, diverse teams.
- Develop and implement a business plan to achieve quarterly sales goals, including assigning individual goals and setting activity expectations.
- Function as the primary business development officer in the assigned market, identifying and pursuing business opportunities, making business development calls, and participating in community activities.
- Collaborate with other lines of business partners to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Effectively utilize necessary bank software and ensure the team effectively uses sales tools and the CRM system.
- Ensure all associates are properly trained and updated on compliance, policies, and procedures, and complete required online training.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of laws, compliance regulations, and bank policies pertaining to all bank products and services.
- Assist with all office activities to ensure operational excellence.
- Accurately process transactions for customers in a prompt, accurate, and professional manner.
- Participate in cash and negotiable instrument control measures.
- Perform operational duties including currency orders, issuing cashier's checks and money orders, processing night drops and mail deposits, balancing ATMs, and settling cash advance machines.
- Minimize operational errors (NIGOs) through leadership and coaching.
- Maintain awareness of potential risks and report or escalate questionable behavior.
- Responsible for account opening, maintenance, and origination of loan applications.
- Educate clients on how to use digital platforms such as Digital Banking, the mobile application, ATMs, and ITMs.
- Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction.
- Incorporate high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in all work facets.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a financial services sales capacity with a demonstrated ability to lead and coach team members.
- 3+ years of demonstrated consumer and small business deposit/lending acquisition experience.
- Registration with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry (NMLS) is required in accordance with SAFE Act requirements.
