About the Role

The School of Business at the University of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for a full-time Accounting faculty position, anticipated to start in January 2027. This role involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses, demonstrating a commitment to innovative pedagogy, and engaging in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate accounting courses consistent with School of Business needs, faculty qualifications, and applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate commitment to innovative, student-centered pedagogy, including experiential, project-based, and technology-enhanced learning approaches
• Teach high-quality asynchronous online courses that foster engagement, instructor presence, and meaningful student interaction
• Assess and grade assignments, projects, and exams with actionable feedback, returning them to students promptly
• Provide in-person and virtual office hours each week to support students with guidance and refer them to support services as needed
• Engage in ongoing professional development in both the academic discipline and teaching methods
• Collaborate with other faculty members to align course requirements and contribute to departmental goals

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Business or Accounting is required
• Certified Public Accounting certification
• Experience teaching undergraduate accounting courses across various levels would also be advantageous
