About the Role
Provide food and beverage services to club members and guests in a fast-paced food service environment. This is a full or part-time hourly position requiring exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, and a friendly, upbeat attitude.
Responsibilities
- Sets up side stations and performs assigned prep work.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Distributes food and wine/drink menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions.
- Takes member and guest orders and places them with the kitchen.
- Informs cooks about special cooking instructions.
- Carries food, silverware, and/or linen on trays, or uses carts to carry trays.
- Assembles food on trays to serve and procures items from each necessary station.
- Checks to ensure member and guest satisfaction and replenishes water and butter as necessary.
- Removes soiled dishes and linens.
- Verifies the accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, and other charges on bills.
- Upholds a professional demeanor while interacting, assisting, and serving all members and staff.
- Uses Point of Sale and online reservation systems.
- Maintains knowledge of the Club’s high standards for service and operating procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of proper table service etiquette, event set-up, table sizes, and appropriate use of space.
- Demonstrates knowledge of table settings for formal daytime and evening events.
- Uses discretion, works independently and as a team, and takes initiative.
