About the Role

Global Kids (GK) educates, inspires, and mobilizes youth to become global citizens engaged in the world and prepared for their future. This role collaborates with NYC Public Schools, DYCD, and the Bronx Studio School of Writers and Artists to deliver high-quality workforce services to high-school-aged youth. The position involves overseeing employer engagement, youth enrollment, job development, community partnerships, quality assurance, program compliance, staff supervision, and career service delivery. The candidate will develop and administer departmental workforce goals, ensuring alignment with GK's vision and mission.

Responsibilities

Maintain DYCD contractual obligations and ensure weekly/monthly targets are met.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, community members, school personnel, and stakeholders.
Conduct weekly internal audits during DYCD programming for contractual compliance.
Manage recruitment, registration, and enrollment of program participants.
Support youth in identifying educational and career goals.
Complete and submit required documentation via DYCD Connect.
Oversee the development and execution of participant orientation and training workshops.
Recruit, establish, and monitor employer sites for internship placements.
Implement and conduct weekly workshops on work readiness, career development, college readiness, life skills, service learning, and student enrichment.
Manage database/inventory of employment, training, and internship opportunities.
Perform administrative duties including record maintenance, database management, youth payroll monitoring, and bookkeeping.
Collaborate with GK staff and youth to generate new program ideas aligned with Community School initiatives.
Provide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) support and collaborate with PBIS/MTSS staff.
Occasionally participate in overnight and long-distance travel for events.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education, social work, non-profit management, or related coursework/experience.
Experience and understanding of youth workforce programs.
2-3 years of experience working with middle or high school-aged youth.
Commitment to and understanding of working in culturally diverse settings and using antiracist pedagogical practices.
Solid understanding of NYC social service resources for youth.
Experience working in or with NYC public schools and understanding of the NYC Community Schools Initiative is a plus.
Familiarity with local placement agencies, job developers, and opportunities is preferred.
