About the Role
Treaty Oak is seeking an Associate, Accounting to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the Company, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and close support. This role is designed for early-career professionals seeking experience in a complex, multi-entity accounting environment within a high-growth renewable energy platform. The Associate will partner with other functions to ensure accurate data flow and contribute to process improvement and standardization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support monthly close procedures
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
- Assist with accounts payable processing and related workflows
- Support tracking and recording of project-related transactions
- Maintain organized documentation to support audits and internal controls
- Assist in preparation of schedules and audit support materials
- Partner with other functions to ensure accurate data flow
- Contribute to process improvements and standardization efforts
Requirements
- 2–3 years of accounting experience (including public accounting or relevant industry experience)
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to multi-entity or project-based accounting environments
Skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in accounting systems
- CPA or interest in pursuing a CPA a plus
