About the Role
Baker Tilly is seeking an Audit Managing Director to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused audit and assurance services to middle market clients. You will work with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business, mentor staff, and contribute to the firm's success. Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients.
- Proactively engage with clients to understand business goals and challenges.
- Develop and implement testing to assess internal control deficiencies and make recommendations.
- Manage fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery.
- Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations.
- Deliver business insight through review, analysis, and discussion.
- Manage client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Drive practice growth by generating new client opportunities and collaborating across service lines.
- Network and build relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
- Invest in professional development individually and through firm programs.
- Support team member growth and development through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Participate in social activities and team outings that encourage work-life balance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- CPA required.
- Five (5)+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services in a professional services firm, preferably in life sciences, technology, and/or manufacturing.
- Three (3)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desired.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others.
- Ability to provide exceptional client service.
- Commitment to continuous learning to stay current on strategies.
- Ability to see the "big picture" as well as the details.
- Appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment.
- Sense of urgency and commitment to quality and timely project completion.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
