About the Role
The Senior Associate Product Manager provides U.S.-hours product management and operational ownership for Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365 automation, including the Power Platform workspaces for citizen development. This hands-on role covers configuration coordination, documentation, automated and exception-based audits, reporting, rollout management, license governance, and day-to-day operational oversight. It also supports citizen development by ensuring Copilot and M365 automation use cases are governed, documented, and aligned to the firm’s operating model, and coordinates execution across U.S.- and India-based teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational ownership of Microsoft Copilot and M365 automation services.
- Coordinate tenant, environment, connector, and citizen development workspace configuration.
- Manage access provisioning, security group and RBAC requests, user lifecycle processes, intake queues, and service health monitoring.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate, standardize, and streamline recurring workflows.
- Own license governance for Copilot and Power Platform entitlements.
- Design, operate, and continuously improve automated and exception-based audit processes.
- Produce adoption, usage, license utilization, support quality, and audit reporting.
- Recommend license, budget, automation, and process improvements.
- Plan and manage rollouts across pilot groups, business units, and deployment waves.
- Monitor the Microsoft roadmap, Message Center, and release notes to evaluate new capabilities.
- Translate approved changes into scheduled rollout and enablement activities.
- Support citizen development by ensuring Copilot and M365 automation use cases are governed, documented, and aligned to the firm’s operating model.
- Operate use-case intake, registration, review, and approval.
- Maintain the solution inventory, ownership records, standards, templates, and reusable patterns.
- Define criteria for promoting maker-built solutions to supported status or retiring them.
- Partner with Learning & Enablement, Innovation, and the maker community to develop training materials, product guides, FAQs, office hours, and responsible-use resources.
- Maintain usage policies, acceptable-use guidance, access standards, data loss prevention and environment policies, governance documentation, and operating procedures.
- Monitor for oversharing, data exposure, unapproved connectors, orphaned automations, control gaps, and emerging risks.
- Escalate issues while balancing appropriate safeguards with usability and business enablement.
- Provide product direction, priorities, requirements, user stories, and success criteria to India-based operations and execution teams.
- Coordinate sprint planning, backlog refinement, cross-time-zone handoffs, asynchronous updates, delivery reviews, dependency management, structured feedback, and blocker resolution.
- Support other AI Lab tools in the firm’s portfolio by contributing to documentation, testing, release readiness, operational procedures, user guidance, and issue tracking as needed.
- Serve as a U.S.-hours escalation point for end-user and business-stakeholder issues.
- Communicate product status, decisions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Perform other duties and contribute to related initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, business, information systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required in product management, technical product ownership, platform operations, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, workflow automation, or comparable enterprise SaaS and business-productivity platforms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and the Power Platform suite (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and Dataverse).
- Working knowledge of environments, connectors, data loss prevention policies, managed environments, and the Power Platform admin center.
- Working knowledge of supporting citizen development workspace governance and operations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and service management.
- Working knowledge of license models, entitlement governance, and cost controls.
- Working knowledge of product lifecycle and backlog practices.
- Working knowledge of access, provisioning, and support workflows.
- Working knowledge of citizen development and low-code governance models.
- Working knowledge of adoption and enablement methods.
- Working knowledge of responsible AI principles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, RBAC, Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, and oversharing controls is preferred.
- Strong product judgment, requirements definition, roadmap and backlog management, stakeholder alignment, analytical problem-solving, documentation, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prepare product briefs, user guides, runbooks, audit and reporting packages, release communications, requirements, and leadership updates.
- Able to use tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence, SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
- Able to balance product thinking with hands-on operational follow-through.
- Able to develop automated, repeatable audit and reporting routines with accuracy and consistency.
- Able to translate user feedback into prioritized improvements.
- Able to coordinate distributed teams across time zones during U.S. business hours.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work effectively with technical, risk, finance, enablement, and business partners.
- English proficiency required.
