About the Role

The Senior Accountant will support the accounting function, acting as a liaison between accounting and real estate for Blue Bottle's growing US cafe locations. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex accounting tasks related to the income statement and balance sheet, including journal entries, account reconciliations, report preparation, flux analysis, and month-end close.
• Serve as the lead accountant for Property Accounting for over 80 locations, covering rent, CAM, utilities, taxes, licenses, deposits, prepaids, and allocations.
• Identify areas for improvement and streamlining of current accounting processes.
• Perform ad hoc analysis, projects, and administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience using NetSuite, Excel, Adaptive Planning, Floqast, Coupa, and Square.
• Experience performing multi-location property accounting is helpful.
• Experience working in a multi-location retail organization is helpful.
• Experience reading and interpreting lease agreements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
