About the Role
We are looking to recruit an exceptional Robot System Testing Engineer to lead our efforts in testing and validating our robotic systems.
Responsibilities
- Define test strategy including what needs to be tested at the full system vs unit level.
- Execute tests in simulation and on robot, and report results back to the design teams.
- Distribute test cases between simulation and real robot environments.
- Work with the Simulation team to standup requiring capabilities in sim.
- Develop testing and reporting utilities.
- Define and manage the SW version approval pipeline for our field deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Familiarity with operating robotic systems in safety critical environments.
- Deep experience defining system level validation plans.
- Proficiency with C++/Python programming languages and familiarity with ROS2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
- Working knowledge of common robotics networking and communication protocols (e.g., CANOpen, EtherCAT, UART).
- Familiarity with robotics simulation tools like Gazebo and IsaacSim.
- Masters of Science (B.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience with Hardware in the Loop (HIL) simulators and simulation environments.
- Experience defining and executing test plans for general purpose robotics solutions in a production context.
