About the Role

Geneva General Hospital is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Transport Aide to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers
  • Assist with the transportation of medically complex patients alongside nursing personnel
  • Perform EKG tracings following appropriate procedures
  • Retrieve and deliver medical records, equipment, supplies, and specimens
  • Clean and redistribute wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment
  • Respond promptly to patient transport requests and communicate delays when necessary
  • Assist patients and visitors by providing friendly, professional customer service and helping them locate hospital departments
  • Support nursing and patient care teams with a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities
  • Respond to emergency alerts and assist as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification through the RQI system during clinical orientation
  • CPI certification within six months of hire
  • Ability to successfully complete EKG tracing, medical record retrieval, and patient one-to-one training within the first month
  • Previous customer service experience, especially in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Professional and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with others
