About the Role
Toy Joy is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our retail team, contributing to a fun and creative shopping experience for customers of all ages. You will work between Toy Joy and Akiba Texas, two adjacent stores offering a wide variety of toys, collectibles, and Japanese imports.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting each person individually.
- Maintain a presentable and clean store environment.
- Continuously restock merchandise and clean as needed.
- Check in and merchandise product as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain safety standards and health codes, keeping walkways clear.
- Have fun and be joyful.
- Create dynamic displays and social media posts.
Requirements
- Sales experience in a retail or food service environment.
- Love and knowledge of toys, books, games, collectibles, and candy.
- Ability to work and communicate well with all staff.
- Uphold respect for yourself, fellow co-workers, and customers.
- Ability to lift and maneuver fixtures and product as necessary.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week, 5 days per week.
- Scheduled hours may change weekly, including opening/closing shifts between 10 am and 10 pm.
