About the Role

Provide exceptional services to GGU students as a Student Assistant. This role offers general support to the Division of Student Success team, serving as the first point of contact, performing administrative duties, and contributing to projects with a focus on front-line customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Division of Student Success (DSS).
  • Document student requests and prepare forms.
  • Manage visitor and caller inquiries, ensuring resolution.
  • Actively listen to inquiries and explain school procedures.
  • Utilize software to update student and employer information.
  • Learn and share updates on school policies and procedures.
  • Answer in-person and phone inquiries.
  • Manage mail to and from the mail room.
  • Create flyers and marketing materials for the office.
  • Troubleshoot office equipment.
  • Stay knowledgeable about student services and upcoming events.
  • Provide support for on-campus events.
  • Offer student perspectives to enhance services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student at GGU.
  • Must have schedule flexibility during DSS office hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday).
  • Must work a minimum of 3 days per week and up to 19 hours per week.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Willingness to give input regarding process improvements.
  • Must be highly sensitive to issues of confidentiality.
